Sound Road Project (Great King Sejong 100ri road program)
Sound road project is a media art project that placed emotional sounds on local landscape by using GPS, as a result, arousing rich visual imagination from the audience. GPS based virtual partition of corresponding area enabled audiences with the downloaded smartphone application to listen to location specific sounds. Certain virtual positions present emotional sounds, information narrations explaining the historic backgrounds of the area and sound navigation indicators that lead the listener to certain directions.
Sound Road Project는 GPS를 활용하여 지역 풍경에 감정적인 소리를 배치하는 미디어 아트 프로젝트입니다. 이를 통해 관객들에게 풍부한 시각적 상상을 불러일으킵니다. GPS 기반의 가상 구역을 통해 특정 지역에 다운로드된 스마트폰 애플리케이션을 이용하면 관객들은 위치에 맞는 소리를 들을 수 있습니다. 특정 가상 위치에서는 감정적인 소리, 지역의 역사적 배경을 설명하는 정보 내레이션, 그리고 청취자를 특정 방향으로 안내하는 소리 내비게이션 지표를 제공합니다.
